The observatory of the Naturwissenschaftlicher Verein zu Zweibrücken NAWI e.V. is run by volunteer members. The purpose of the association is to enable the public to observe planets, stars, galaxies and nebulae, hence the name "Volkssternwarte" (public observatory). Furthermore, lectures on general questions of natural science and technology are offered.
